Rubina Dilaik RESPONDS to Soumya NOT being a transgender in 'Shakti... Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii'..

The show's concept has been it a true winner, and the fantastic performances of Vivian Dsena, Rubina Dilaik, and Kamya Punjabi among others have made it bigger and better.

However, recently, there was a piece of news that hit the web and got all the fans shocked. One of the leading entertainment portals reported that the character of Soumya, who is shown a transgender, is in fact, NOT a transgender, and the same will be shown in the upcoming track.

Apparently, the show has decided to adapt this twist of showing that Soumya is not a transgender and was in fact swapped in the hospital when she was born. 

It goes like this; Nimmi (Reena Kapoor) and Maninder (Ayub Khan) were blessed with a baby girl who turned out to be a kinnar. And this was notified to the parents too. However, that girl was not Soumya as Soumya was born as a normal girl in the same hospital. Due to hospital mishap, the babies were swapped and Soumya landed up with Maninder and Nimmi, who assumed Soumya to be a kinnar. This also means that apparently, Soumya is not even the actual daughter of Maninder and Nimmi.

And coming to the current track, the drama is building up to a potential Harman (Vivian Dsena) and Surbhi (Roshni Sahota) marriage which would be plotted by Preeto (Kamya Punjabi).

Amidst all these complexities, it has been said that the fans have demanded to see Harman and Soumya as a normal couple and hence all this.

However, we had a talk with Soumya aka Rubina Dilaik, who had something MAJOR to say, "Yes, I have been hearing all these speculations since yesterday. However, I, outright deny all of this. The whole concept of the show has been about the struggle and life of a kinnar and discarding that away from the show cannot be happening. As of now, the creatives have not informed anything of this sort to us yet. Hence, I don't see this happening."

She added, "I take all these rumours very positively. Any rumours or stories pertaining my show, be it negative or positive, I take it with a smile. As these are the indicators that my show is being liked and talked about. As an actor, I feel good about it. Otherwise, there is always good and bad things, but you can't control them all."

Well said, Rubina. And we are sure the fans have got their answers and can now relax.
