Rohan Gandotra shares, "I am an old soul, and shooting for the show 'Jackpot' made me feel like myself"

Rohan Gandotra, who recently appeared in the short film 'Aai' alongside Ashwini Kalsekar and the music video 'Khatta Meetha', is set to feature in the upcoming web series' Jackpot,' scheduled for release in 2024. The series is set in the 1990s, offering a nostalgic look into that era. Rohan plays the character Lucky, a newspaper distributor from Lucknow, on a quest for a better life through a jackpot scheme. 

In an exclusive conversation with India Forums, Rohan discusses the challenges of shooting the series and the transition from TV to OTT and shares his favourite 90s memories.

What challenges did you encounter while filming Jackpot?

No challenges at all, I loved shooting for Jackpot. I feel I am an old soul, and shooting for the show in which you feel you are living in the 90s made me feel myself.

Can you share a fond memory from the 90s?

I used to collect tattoos of Pokemon a lot, and we all friends used to exchange them in barter. Whoever has the most tattoos is used to be the cool guy.

The transition from TV to OTT comes with its challenges and advantages. What are your thoughts on it?

You have to keep a lot of patience. Shooting in OTT is different. Even the shot-taking is different. TV has its own style of storytelling, and OTT has its own style. But for me, I love shooting in both formats. For me, acting in any form on screen is good, and I am passionate about it.
