Rocky Aur Rani Trailer: Alia looking like a dream; tailor-made role for Ranveer; Karan Johar being himself

After a scintillating teaser and conversation-making song, Tum Kya Mile, the anticipation to see the full-fledged trailer of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (RRKPK) is indeed at its maximum. Whether or not does it have the quintessential Karan Johar flavor, how does the chemistry between Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt appear to be and so many other questions continue to be burning as the trailer is up for release tomorrow.

We had the opportunity to see the trailer exclusively beforehand and while we cannot reveal the details in order to not spoil the experience for you, we certainly can share our thoughts on the same.

The 3 minute 18 second trailer doesn't quite begin in Karan Johar fashion but that is a reminder as to how, inspite of it being this larger-than-life film, the bonds, dialogues and vibe will be as new-age and relevant as you possibly can imagine to be.

One of the biggest wins for the trailer is undoubtedly the humor. A reminder that RRKPK will not just be a romantic family drama but also have some hilarious one-liners and situations which is also Johar's signature style. There are three instances of humor and every joke lands thus keeping you chuckling throughout.

Coming to the characters, one cannot possibly imagine anyone else than Ranveer Singh playing Rocky. This character is seemingly tailor-made for him as it allows him to be his offscreen self while also showcase his known acting chops.

Being a Yash Chopra heroine was a dream for so many and that is also the case with Johar where not only is the latter a student to the legend but imbibes his way of portraying women in the most beautiful way possible. On the same lines, Johar has Alia Bhatt looking like a dream throughout. Known for the sense of style on his female leads, Bhatt is ethereal in every frame she appears and of course, her acting prowess is second to none.

And finally, RRKPK is Karan Johar being unabashedly and unapologetically Karan Johar. The director manages to infuse his signature style throughout the trailer's runtime and even in the plot.

The trailer does show the main plot of the film as it should but we won't spoil that for you - let's just say, it's intriguing and fascinating.

With these three names and an alluring ensemble that consists of legends, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani does have all the ingredients to be the grand entertainer it promises to be.

We certainly cannot wait.
