Ritu's family introduced in Do Hanson Ka Jodaa..

TellyBuzz had earlier reported that Imagine and Rajshri Productions' Do Hanson Ka Jodaa will go thro' some major twists soon after the unfortunate demise of Ammaji (Gulfam Ali). We had reported that the introduction of a new family, that will be the maayka of Ritu (Praneeta Sahu) will kick off an interesting track.

A little birdie tells us, "The cast to play the family members of Ritu has been finalized. Veteran actor Pankaj Berry who is presently seen in Rajshri Productions' show on Zee TV Yahaan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli has been roped in to play the Tauji of Ritu. Sikandar Kharbanda who gets back to television after a while will be playing the younger brother of the Tau. Ali Hassan will play brother to Ritu while new face Harshila will essay the role of the young third wife of the Tauji".

Our source elaborates, "Pankaj Berry will play Thakur Gajji who is the Tauji of Ritu. His is a typical negative character who is rusty, loud and tough. The family is a  Thakur family who are into some wrong ways to make money. Sikandar who plays his younger brother will essay the role of Lakshinder Singh aka Lucky Singh whose only ambition is to become a Bhojpuri superstar. He is either seen writing scripts or narrating his story to people. This character accompanied by Tunni who is his right hand will provide for the comic element in the rather serious going track. Ali Hassan who is a Pailwan plays the role of Ritu's brother, Dwarka Thakur. He is a hot-headed guy who hits first and then thinks".

The family comprising of Tauji, his wife, Tau's brother, Ritu's brother and a servant will enter in the coming episodes.

When contacted, Pankaj Berry confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I am playing the role of Tauji in Do Hanson Ka Jodaa. This character is a contrast to what I play in their Zee show. The guy has a completely negative shade".

Ali Hassan on his part said, "The family of Ritu comes into the picture when Ritu and her hubby are sent out of their house. We come in to settle things in our own way. I play the brother of Ritu who has a bad temper".

Sikandar who was last seen in REAL's Hindi Hai Hum quips, "My character of Lucky Singh provides fun elements in the show. He is not bothered about his family business, and aims to become an actor. While the other men of the house are seen in dhoti and kurta, I will be seen donning bright colored t-shirts and jeans".

As reported earlier, Ammaji who is on her death bed takes a promise from Suryakamal (Shaleen Bhanot) that he will take care of his brother Neeraj (Naveen Sen) always. The fact that Ammaji has already sent Neeraj and Ritu out of the house upsets Suryakamal and he decides to take any decision needed to bring his brother back. This is when the family of Ritu enters and will be seen taking advantage of the situation.
