Rishi Khurana Calls His Barrister Babu Character a ‘Typical Saas of TV’

Nimki Mukhiya fame Rishi Khurana will be seen in a never seen avtaar before in Colors drama, Barrister Babu. Barrister Babu produced by Shashi and Sumeet Mittal is a period drama set in Kolkata. The actor is particularly excited for his role in the social drama. 

The  actor will be donning a Bengali Babu wearing a dhoti kurta for the first time. Rishi calls his character ‘typical saas of the TV’. The character played by Rishi is that of an orthodox man who has staunch religious beliefs and is stubborn in his thoughts.

In a conversation with Bombay Times, Rishi said,“For the first time, I am playing a larger-than-life character. He is the head of the family. I haven’t played a character like this before — it is a new get-up and a new feather in my cap. I will be seen wearing dhoti-kurta on the show. I believe that ‘BB’ will turn out to be a game-changer for me. My character has been beautifully etched out. I am also excited about collaborating with Shashi and Sumeet Mittal again after ‘Tumhari Pakhi’.”
