Rishabh Pant makes his first public appearance for DC vs. GT match post his car crash

During the current 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) match between the Delhi Capitals (DC) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium, star Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant made his first public appearance since his tragic car crash in December.

With the assistance of a few authorities, Pant entered the seating area while still requiring crutches and gave a few folks a hearty embrace. The regular DC skipper then sat down to watch the game and cheer on his squad.

The Capitals extended a special gesture for Pant by hanging his jersey over their dugout during DC's first game at Lucknow against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Also, there are speculations that during one game this season, all DC players would wear the number 17 jersey.

Pant was driving in his own vehicle in the wee hours of December 30, 2022, on his way to see his mother and ring in the new year with her when he was involved in a serious accident on the Delhi-Dehraun route. His vehicle hit a divider, overturned several times, and went up in flames. Pant was able to flee the burning automobile with the assistance of bystanders.

Pant spent a week at the Max Hospital in Dehradun after receiving trauma care at a neighborhood hospital in Roorkee. He was later flown to Mumbai, where he had knee surgery.

David Warner is the team's captain in Pant's absence, and Axar Patel has been designated as Warner's assistant. Abhishek Porel will be playing his first game tonight. The game's wicketkeeper was Sarfaraz Khan.
