RIP Wajid Khan: Unseen Video of Wajid Singing ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’ from Hospital Room is Heartwarming; His Radiant Spirit Cheers Up Other Patients

Gone too soon, Bollywood’s beloved music composer Wajid Khan of duo Sajid-Wajid passed away on Monday morning at the age of 42. Wajid was hospitalized at Surana Hospital, Mumbai after complaints of kidney complications.

Wajid underwent a transplant a while ago and also has a history of medical conditions. He succumbed to death after complications due to a kidney infection. It is also reported that the singer was Coronavirus positive, which further deteriorated his critical health.

While the Bollywood industry and celebrities are mourning Wajid’s loss, an old video has surfaced on the Internet and has gone viral. In the unseen video, Wajid can be seen dedicating a song to his brother Sajid Khan from a hospital room. Dressed in hospital clothes, Wajid croons to the song ‘Hud Hud Dabangg’ from the film Dabangg with a radiant smile on his face. His spirit seems to have cheered the other patients in the same hospital room and a woman can be seen enjoying Wajid’s song.

It is an old video and while Wajid’s family members and friends grieve over his loss, this old video is sure to bring a smile on their faces and remind them of Wajid’s spirit and high energy.

Wajid’s funeral is taking place at the Versova Kabristan in presence of close friends and family members. His brother Sajid Khan can be seen breaking down at his brother’s last rites. Wajid’s wife and kids are also spotted at the funeral.

Bollywood actors poured in their heartfelt condolences and paid the last tribute to Wajid Khan. Wajid’s dear friend and godfather Salman Khan mourned his loss in an emotional tweet that read: "Wajid Vil always love, respect, remember n miss u as a person n ur talent, Love u n may your beautiful soul rest in peace ..."

Actor Arjun Kapoor shared an old picture remembering Wajid and wrote on social media:  "still can’t believe it... feels like yesterday we were doing sittings for Tevar. One of the warmest & most decent souls I had the pleasure of knowing. Always a smile on his face & a song in his heart... Thank You Wajid bhai for the music & the memories. Rest in peace dear friend".

Arjun Rampal shared a video from the recording of a song from his film ‘Daddy’. He penned a heartfelt note for Wajid:

“I still can’t believe this, Wajid an amazing soul has left us. His talent, his infectious smile, his gentle demeanour. His larger than life grace. Broken today. Gone too soon. Will miss you dearly. My love and condolences to Sajid and the family. Phir milenge bhai. This was him working on a song for Daddy. #RIPWAJID”

Varun Dhawan is shocked over Wajid’s demise and wrote a lovely note remembering him alongside a few pictures on social media. Varun wrote:

  “THANK U FOR THE ?? #wajidkhan. Shocked and very sad to hear about the passing of Wajid bhai. He was a genuine soul and extremely close to my family and especially my father. The song I am known for #palat is given by him and his brother sajid. He was always loving and caring to me and Rohit did 5 albums with my dad #msk, #partner #chasmebadoor , Mth , Judwaa2. He was a good man and loved by one and all. I will miss you Wajid bhai”
