Last weekend, Star Plus welcomed another supernatural thriller, Divya Drishti. The show had already created a lot of buzz after the makers unveiled the trailer. It looked intriguing and also, the concept seemed different from other supernatural shows.
The story revolves around two sisters who are blessed with supernatural powers. While Drishti has the power to foresee the future, Divya has the ability to change the future. The main antagonist is an evil spirit Pshachini' who possess dark powers, she seeks to kill the sisters and have control over their powers.
What is the story about?

The first episode opens up with Vidya and Sarthak being worried about their daughters who'll possess magical abilities of foreseeing and changing the future when they turn five. While discussing about how to protect their daughters from Pshachini, who is after their lives and powers, they narrated the background of Pshachini and how their daughters received the powers.

Later, when the twins turn five, they start experiencing magic which alarms Pshachini and she comes after them. Both Vidya and Sarthak die while saving their daughters. In the entire fiasco Divya and Drishti are separated.

In the second episode, the show took a leap and Divya Drishti are grownups now, both living with different families. While Divya was adopted by a childless couple and love her as their own, Drishti is brought up by a greedy lady and her husband who doesn't treat her well. And both of them are on a quest to find each other.

In their first encounter, they end up arguing and fail to recognise each other. The episode also presented a young handsome guy who has to unite with the girls in order to kill the Pshachini.
What we liked?

As there are already many supernatural shows on Television, Divya Drishti brings a unique concept and managed to make a difference. With strong performances, especially in the first episode, the show kept us hooked. We totally loved the modern day Pshachini, Sangeeta Ghosh just killed it with her looks and strong performance. We liked Sangeeta's entry where she is seen surfing on a surfboard in the galaxy.

Also, the scene where Vidya (Rati Pandey) thrashes Pshachini caught our attention. We feel the best performance goes to Sangeeta and Rati. Also, Sana Sayyad and Nyra Banerjee were pretty good.
What we didn't like?

The VFX could have been better. We feel Rati's character ended too early. The makers didn't reveal much about Adhvik Mahajan's character in the introduction episode.
Verdict
We liked the first two episodes and it has the potential to keep the audience hooked. As of now, the show looks promising.
