REVIEW: Dil Bole Oberoi sets the bar even higher than Ishqbaaaz!
We just hope that India's first ever spin off, doesn't bite the dust quick enough. Rating ****(4 1/2 stars)

When Ishqbaaaz producer Gul Khan announced a spin off to her on going show Ishqbaaaz on Star Plus, it proved to be just the respite that fans of the show were looking out for.
Ishqbaaaz was started as the story of three brothers and the actors playing the brothers already have their fair share of fan following.
But with the story centering around Shivaay (Nakuul Mehta), fandoms of the other two brothers Omkara (Kunal Kulbhushan Jaisingh) and Rudra (Leenesh Mattoo), got upset due to the lack of screen space given to them. But with this spin off, these fandoms will get a breather.
Titled Dil Bole Oberoi, will air from the 13th of February and the show's first promo is out.
The promo starts with Shivaay and Anika (Surbhi Chandna) and Rudra and Soumya (Nehalaxmi Iyer) accompanied by Omkara while sitting at a restaurant and discussing love.
While Shivaay states that love is a game that only Ishqbaaaz play, Rudra is of the opinion that love is a class where every girl has to say the 'love you' word atleast once.
But the ever optimistic Omkara stuns everyone with his opinion of love. According to him, love is a deal where you offer your heart on a plate only to get it broken.
Saying so, he leaves from there and that is the moment that changes his strong pessimistic views. A girl (Shrenu Parikh), precisely a runaway bride, bumps into Omkara and falls into his arms, very literally. And the screen freezes.
What's Good:
It is really nice to see how the writers have changed the characteristics of the brothers and not kept them the same like Ishqbaaaz. For instance, the audience gets to see a new Shivaay, who is slowly opening up to the game of love and at the same time, an always hopeful Omkara, has nothing but negative thoughts about love.
And do we even need to mention the scale on which the show is being shot? A look at the promo attached below, will give you a fair idea of what we are talking about here.
What's not:
There is nothing negative that we have come across so far. And we're willing to give Dil Bole Oberoi a huge benefit of doubt.
The verdict:

We just wish that the show does not get into the regular run of the mill grind and has something different to offer. And if the makers are successful with this one, then the show can set a benchmark for other shows as well.
