Revealed: The real name of actress Roshni Sahota, seen in Shakti!

There are several actors in the industry, who have opted for stage names; some feel it might bring them luck while others feel that it might give them popularity!

But for Roshni Sahota, who plays Surbhi in Shakti... Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii, a change in name became the prime reason for her to become an actor.

Recently, the actor revealed that while she is popularly known as Roshni Sahota, her birth name is Meenu Sahota.

Revealing the real story behind her name change, Roshni said, "My father named me Meenu because he loved the sound of it. But, when I turned 18, an astrologer suggested that my name should begin with letter R' as it would bring me good luck and fortune. This was when I was rechristened as Roshni and it has proven to be quite a blessing for me. This new name has become my good luck charm, and it even fuelled my passion for acting."
