It's a happy happy Sunday

Hey all Marvel fans. It's a terrific Sunday for y'all as your adored movie Avengers:Endgame has beaten Avatar to fetch numbers bigger and higher. After many days of speculation and keeping the fingers crossed, finally the day has come when Endgame will surpass all the other movies, beating even Avatar.

As per the reports of a leading entertainment portal, Avengers:Endgame is falling short of just $500K collections which it is expected to gather just with the end of this Sunday. The records are in the mane of $2.7897 billion global cume of James Cameron’s Avatar during its theatrical release in 2009 and 2010.

As the new global cume for Avengers: Endgame was $2.7892 billion in raw grosses, the chase is not going to continue for a very long period of time. Disney just expects to make it through this weekend itself. All thanks to a quasi-reissue that put the film back into 2,000 theaters just prior to July 4th weekend. This release with the additional footage brought in great numbers once again and helped Disney inch towards being the highest grosser of all time.

Sharing their love and gratitude for the greatest fans of all times, Anthony and Joe Russo have Tweeted,"To the greatest fans in the universe, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you..." Have a look:

The big factor in Avengers: Endgame passing Avatar at the global box office was its huge grosses in China. It earned 26% more ($855 million) in North America and, sans China, around 29% more overseas compared to Infinity War. But it earned an insane $629 million in China alone and made it to the highest grosser of all times.

While the credit goes to the movie too, we can't let the fact surpass that it's the result of years of smart choices, high quality fantasy action flicks and supremely high IQ movies made for the Avengers universe. Audiences were not only hooked to the mythology, the action sequences or the whole “cinematic universe” thing, they returned again and again for these specific cinematic incarnations of Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the others.
