Reena Kapoor spills beans on WHY did she QUIT 'Shakti... Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii'..!

However, the show is all set to have a major change ahead. Actress, Reena Kapoor aka Nimmi is set to QUIT the show.

Yes! As shocking as it sounds, it is true. The actress has decided to bid adieu to the show.

According to a leading news portal, in the upcoming track, Nimmi's character will die while trying to save Saumya (Rubina Dilaik) and will eventually lose her life.

OMG! But, why is she no more a part of the show..?

This decision has been taken as Reena Kapoor, who is married in real life is planning to move to United States to America (USA) with her husband. Her husband has to go to USA for a year for his work purpose and Reena decided that she cannot stay here alone. And hence, she notified the creative team of 'Shakti...' that she cannot continue with the character.

The actress mentioned that it was not an overnight decision and that the team of the show was notified about it a while ago.

Reena also said that she is glad that her character is being killed off and not being replaced as this character is very close to her heart after her role in 'Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki'.

We contacted Reena, who confirmed saying, "Yes. It is true that I have quit the show. It is not a sudden decision and I had notified the team three months ago itself. My husband has to go to United States of America (USA) and will be there atleast for a year. Hence, of course, I cannot stay a year without him and will accompany him. So, yes, I had to take the difficult decision for quitting the show."

We asked her about the fact that the character is being killed and not being replaced, so any possibility of making a return if and when in future, to which she said, "I don't think that would happen. This is not just any saas-bahu saga or a regressive daily soap where plastic surgeries is added to and fro. The show will stick to its crux and would not deviate to re-introduce any character. In fact, I am glad that the character is being killed off as it is very close to me (smirks)."

We asked if there is any special memory she would cherish, she said, "This show and this role has been memorable to me after 'Woh Rehne Wali Mehlon Ki'. It has been extremely close to my heart and I am going to miss every bit of it. I am close to Roshni Sahota aka Surbhi and even Rubina Dilaik aka Saumya. It has been a great journey."
