Reasons why Kushal Tandon & Shivangi Joshis show Barsatein is a change we all wanted to see in Indian TV

Renowned for its refreshing, authentic, and non-dramatic content, Sony TV has been breaking the stereotypes prevailing in television, particularly in the realm of traditional daily soaps found on most other channels. From captivating narratives like "Katha Ankahee" to uplifting stories like "Sapnon Ki Chhalaang," Sony TV's shows have breathed new life into television enthusiasts like us, who have yearned for innovative and engaging content to fulfill our entertainment cravings. Among the network's latest additions, 'Barsatein,' featuring the talented Shivangi Joshi and Kushal Tandon, has firmly secured its place on our watchlist. We bring to you a list of all the reasons why according to us, Barsatein is a fresh change we all seeked in the world of television.
A reletable and young storyline:

Set up in the mileu of a newsroom, the storyline of Barsatein is as real as it can be. Aradhana, a dedicated young journalist does not even realise when and how does she fall in love with Reyansh, the owner of the company, ignoring all his red flags, wanting to 'fix' him and choosing to see only the good in him. Not that Reyansh is a bad human, but definitely a bad boy. And, girls falling in love and being highly attracted towards bad boys is nothing that we do not know of or have not seen or personally experienced in our lives.
Sarees to die for:

As an entertainment journalist writing this piece, I can definitely say this on behalf of all the girls watching this show that Shivangi as Aradhana is a treat to watch in the show. And adding to her appearance are her beautiful Sarees. Right from the combination of her sarees and her blouses to the easy breezy cotton fabric, We definitely can think of imbibing these sarees in our day to day lives and taking inspiration from Aradhana aka Shivangi's fashion statements in the show.
Addressing the trauma

Right from the first episode of the show, Reyansh's childhood trauma has been addressed. It is clearly shown why does reyansh behave in a certain way and why does he dislike women. And despite this, he is not a misogynist, but it all stems from his troubled childhood and his issues with his mother Kadambari. We are sure, all of us, at some points in our lives have come across individuals carrying the baggage of emotional trauma on their shoulders that deeply affects their lives.
Kushal Tandon

Isn't this a valid reason to watch the show already? Not even elaborating this subtitle, Kushal Tandon is definitely a reason enough to not miss a single episode of the show. The bad boy vibes the actor so effortlessly exudes makes not just Aradhana, but every girl watching the show, wanting to 'fix' him and bleach those red flags into green.
Aradhana's family not liking her career choice:

Journalism is an unconventional career and just like Aradhana's family, we have all come across families that may not have been very supportive about their daughters deciding to go for an unconventional career. The show has very subtly and effortlessly shown this side of Aradhana's life and how, despite all odds, she still decides to live her passion, yet uphold her family values but also voice her opinions against everything she believes is not right.
