"Reality shows are not my cup of tea", Mamik Singh!

Actor Mamik Singh, populary known for playing Amir Khan's elder brother in Mansoor Khan's film 'Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander' recently made a comeback to the entertainment industry with the TV show "Agent Raghav-Crime Branch". Also we hear that the actor will now be a part of Zee TV's upcoming show 'Janbaaz Sinbad'.

It seems that the actor has finally made a perfect re union with his acting career after being away from the industry for over a decade. Mamik shares his views and much more with us. Read on...

1. According to you, what is the difference between  Bollywood and the Television industry today?

Well, I've been really away from TV & Films since a long time. If it would've been Shahrukh Khan, he would have answered it much better. But yes, for today TV industry is as important as films, as it has a wide coverage and a huge amount of followers.

2. One memorable role that you have played in your acting career?

There were many such roles that I've played earlier. But playing as Vikral for Star TV's show 'Vikraal aur Gabraal' is something I will always remember.

3. The most challenging role that you've done so far?

Here in India, shows keeps rolling out roles like 'Mughal-E-Aazam'. So there's nothing new as such to do. But playing 'Ratan' in the film 'Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander' did pay off well. All credit goes to the crew and the director Mansoor Khan. Also, at present, I am about to shoot for a movie where I'll be playing a coach to Randeep Hooda. It's a mix martial arts film based on sports. So this is something different I will be doing now. But life depends on what happens further and I hope for the good to come.

4. Which is that one craziest rumor that you've heard about yourself?

Craziest rumor about me? (Laughs).People do keep talking about me but since I was away from the industry I was actually not following it and thus I am not aware of what's being talked about me.

5. Mamik, you had earlier told us that you are waiting for some convincing role. So is your role in 'Janbaaz Sinbaz' what you've been looking for?

No. Here I am playing small role which would last for a short time. Though the show is interesting but the thing is that I am now doing roles for sake of my friends, as they ask me to do it. But I hope for the best.

6. Would you ever wish to do a reality show?

No. I am really an introvert person. Reality shows are not my cup of tea! Although they offer a good amount. I understand that reality shows have also become an important part of TV shows but I am not up for it.
