The veteran of films, Raza Murad who was last seen on television in Sony's Meet Mila De Rabba, will now play a historical character in NDTV Imagine's Meera.
According to our source, "The actor plays the role of the warrior Rana Sangha, who is the King of Mewad, Chittod. He has a dramatic entry in the show, as he unknowingly steps into Meera's mandir with his shoes on, and that is when the little girl has an argument with him. But Rana eventually likes the girl's attitude, and develops a desire to get his son married to Meera".
"The marriage gets solemnized between Rana Sangha's son and Meera, but it so happens that Meera who is so much devoted to Krishn does not accept Rana Sangha's son as her husband. Rana Sangha who realizes Meera's love and devotion for Krishn sides her, but is targeted by his sons for supporting Meera. Ultimately, Rana decides to free Meera from the bond of marriage, and allows her to go away. However, Meera returns to pay her last respects to the man when he is on the death bed", informs our source.
We called up Raza Murad who confirmed the news and said, "Rana Sangha and Meera shared a very cordial relationship, and the king always had a soft corner for the girl who was so much devoted to Krishn".
