Raveena Tandon has a Tiger cub named after her at the Kanpur Zoo, sends heaters for the cubs to beat the cold
Actress Raveena Tandon's sweet gesture towards the wildlife is winning hearts on the internet.
Raveena Tandon fans would be well aware of the her love for nature and wildlife. And her social media is a proof of the same. She frequently publishes images taken in the nation's tiger reserves and wildlife sanctuaries. For the unversed, she also serves as Maharashtra's wildlife goodwill ambassador
Well talking of which, she recently grabbed the limelight yet again for a sweet gesture towards the wildlife.
The actress recently sent heaters for the cubs and their hospitals in order to help them being warm in the spine chilling cold of Kanpur. For the same the zoo authorities thanked her with a sweet note.
Taking to twitter, the authorities of the zoo thanked Raveena and wrote, “Thank you to the lady with “Green Heart" @TandonRaveena Ma’am. You have extended your support to the voiceless souls of #Kanpur_Zoo in this spine chilling winters."
Not only this but the Kanpur Zoo also honoured her by naming a tiger cub after her in recognition of her dedication to the protection of wildlife. Raveena expressed her appreciation for the same on her Twitter account. She wrote, "Great initiative @WildLense_India ! Good Going Kanpur zoo with all the rescue and rehabilitation work you doing! #kanpurzoo."
While Raveena had also shared that her love for wildlife began at an early age. The actress went on her first-ever safari with her father to Bandipur National Park in Karnataka and Mudumalai Tiger Reserve in Tamil Nadu. From then onward, her love story with the jungle started.
