Rashmi Sharma is finally all set to launch her second show on Star Plus after Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat. The show which was earlier titled Kal Bhi Aaj Bhi has been in the making stage for the past seven months. It has undergone many changes starting from the concept to the actors who were finalized earlier.
The show is now titled 'Saath Nibhana Saathiya' and is expected to launch on April 26th, and in all probability will take the 7PM slot.
Earlier the show was to talk about the differing values and attitudes of the elder as well as the younger generation, but now it will be the tale of two sisters and their married lives.
According to our source, "The core concept is about two girls who are cousins, and the story has a Gujarati backdrop. The family will consist of a maternal uncle, aunt, their daughter and their niece Gopi. The character of Gopi will be essayed by new face Jiaa Maanek while the cousin sister's role will be portrayed by another new face Rucha Hasabnis. Vishal Singh of Kasamh Se fame is the only actor who has been retained from the older set of actors who had been finalized. Mohammad Nazim who was last seen in Star Plus' Shaurya aur Suhani will be the other male lead in the show".
When contacted, Producer Rashmi Sharma told us, "I cannot comment on anything now. The channel will come out with the announcement at the right time".
The promo of the show is already on air. Rashmi Sharma's Sunrise Productions is presently producing Rehna Hai Teri Palkon ki Chaaon Mein for Imagine, in addition to Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat for Star Plus.

lasya_ks 12 years ago hello Rashmi... i regularly watch saathiya n was really impressed by the message u gave yesterday....it is really good 2 c that u are spreading the message about preventing cruely to snakes espicially during nag panchami......as u have clearly shown snakes do not drink milk at all and force-feeding them may lead to their death......ur efforts are highly commendable......hats off 2 u.....hope koki listens to gopi n may Indians listen to both of them :) .......cheers2010-08-17 03:28:19

Beware ...dont get too emotional involved with this new serial of Rashmi ...becauze she already proved from her serial Raja ki ayegi baarat and PCKM to be a PERFECT Flop director/ producer with doing lots of twist and turns in the ending of the serial ,,,showing unncessary symbolic of marraige with main cast in the serial aND ENDING UP THE SERIAL IN A MESS

Another show? atleast let her handle her existing shows properly.. NDTV Imagine's PKCM is a mess now, which started very well with a good story..

oh remember something copy from bidayi and something copy from chhoti bau and pasted in her show.....she need reality check ....she is great in distroying excellent story line.....

she did started good with RKAB though now its ruined, so i guess this drama will be good for first few months too...................(if she doesn't put Sampurn Anand in it , it may survive)
