The art of conceiving a character which adds depth to the on-screen reality and optimizing the given space to explore uncharted territories in a plot, Randeep Hooda is known to contour in any form. These distinct characteristics among the rest of Bollywood actors are quite inadequate. Being an unknown outsider; he has practically managed to carve a niche for himself in the world of cinema.
However, in spite of attaining stardom, he never forgot his roots. As Uncle Ben (Spider-Man) says, “With great powers, comes great responsibilities.” And he has somewhat proved himself worthy to attain these powers.
While we acknowledge him as an unconventional star who stormed his way to the top, there’s no less this handsome hunk has done to revive the fate of humanity by working towards the conservation of nature.
From Bottom to Top
The actor debuted with Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding (2001) and so… the days of his struggle started. While he quivered through his passion to grab sensible characters in the decade of adulterated content, Randeep’s career finally saw the light as he finally made a powerful appearance in multi-starrer movies.
The 43-year-old actor finally made a mark for himself as he starred in the critically acclaimed film - Rang Rasiya (2008). He struggled to pitch himself amongst big names in Bollywood, the actor tried his best to publicize his art. While some struggle to perform antagonistic characters, there are only a handful of Bollywood actors who can manage to strike vengeance and fear amongst their audience… And Randeep has proved himself as one of them.
The phoenix finally raged as a master of performing arts who captured a huge fandom across the country. He struggled to thrive as an individual with refined art, and the hard work finally paid off. By 2014, Randeep not only won the Stardust Award for Best Actor for Highway (2014), but he also seized the award for Most entertaining actor in a social role – Male for the same film. In following year i.e 2015 - he Stardust award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for Main Aur Charles (2015), yet he never forgot his duties as a citizen of India.
Life as an Activist
While many know him for his acting skills, Randeep is also known as a proud citizen who voices his opinions against the injustice in the country. A successful career gave him the potential to attain all the happiness in life, but he planned it to share it with animals and he ventured as tiger conservationist. Right from working with the ground staff involved in the tiger conservation projects he extended his full support to the Save Aarey campaign. Apart from that, he rescued nine high breed horses that were dying of hunger.
Today, on the occasion of his 43rd birthday we salute him for his contribution to the film industry and extending his support to the helpless beings that thrive in nature.
