The action-packed drama "Animal" is set to captivate audiences once again, this time in the comfort of their homes as it makes its way to Netflix India on Republic Day, January 26. The movie, which initially hit theaters on December 1, stirred up a storm with its intense portrayal of modern relationships, featuring a power-packed cast led by Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Triptii Dimri. Directed by the acclaimed Sandeep Reddy Vanga, "Animal" explores the dark nuances of a toxic father-son relationship, sending shockwaves through theaters and propelling it to become one of the highest-grossing films of 2023.

Despite facing mixed reviews for its gritty content, the film became a sensation both in India and overseas, establishing itself as a blockbuster at the box office. The buzz surrounding "Animal" reached heights when news broke about the official confirmation of its sequel, aptly titled "Animal Park." Fans who were left on the edge of their seats by the intense narrative and stellar performances of the cast eagerly awaited the sequel.

However, the journey to the film's OTT release was not without its share of behind-the-scenes drama. Co-producers CINE 1 Studios Private Limited and T-Series found themselves embroiled in a dispute that threatened to derail the film's digital debut. CINE 1 Studios filed a plea in the Delhi High Court, seeking to halt the OTT release until T-Series complied with the agreed-upon terms of ownership and distribution. The two production houses, represented by senior advocates Sandeep Sethi and Amit Sibal, eventually reached a settlement, putting an end to the legal tussle and allowing the much-anticipated film to make its streaming debut on Netflix.

Ranbir Kapoor, who plays a pivotal role in the movie, expressed his joy at the global streaming opportunity. In a statement, he shared, "We are absolutely overjoyed by the response 'Animal' received in theaters, and now I am glad that audiences worldwide will get a chance to watch it in the comfort of their homes. The opportunity to showcase our work globally is truly special."

With Ranbir Kapoor's fandom reaching new heights and the controversy with producers settling, "Animal" is poised to roar once again, this time on the small screen, creating waves in the digital entertainment landscape.

Ranbir Kapoor should continue to do roles like this. Dark characters suit him. Embrace the darkness. Unleash the beast!
