Arshad Warsi: "Rashmika slapped Ranbir so much more than Ranbir hit her in 'Animal'"

We might have entered 2024, and it might have been over a month since the release happened; Animal continues to make in money but mostly sparks conversations and controversies, left, right and centre. Many have had their opinions on the film - either in its favour or against it but it has been a constant indeed.

Also coming in as no surprise, Animal was also a constant talking point in the several actor roundtables that happened on multiple platforms. One such factor was also a case with the recently held Bollywood Hungama roundtable that brought in an alluring male actors' roundtable. The lineup included Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Manoj Bajpayee, Aditya Roy Kapur, Aparshakti Khurrana and Arshad Warsi.

And while others might have their own take on it, actor Arshad Warsi had his own take to it and made a rather funny observation about the film. He mentioned Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna’s characters in the film. He said, “In Animal, Ranbir did not hit Rashmika as much as she slapped him.”

He also added, “I look at films as complete entertainment; I don’t want to get preachings or lessons.”

In the same conversation, Bajpayee was also asked if he would ever work with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The actor said, “You cannot just go by the name; it also depends on what is being offered. If everything is good, then why not.” To this, Aditya Roy Kapur also shared that one should read the script, and that has to be something you should be excited about.

While giving a review to Animal, Warsi also shared, "If it is something that is beyond something like there are things we like to see but not do. This could come in that bracket."

Sharing an example of how Indra Kumar had called him to do Grand Masti, but he did not like sex-oriented films. "I might like watching them as an audience, but I won’t do it as an actor," he mentioned.

Animal continues to be a beast at the box office grossing over Rs 850 crores at the box office.
