Rakhi Sawant's ex-husband, Adil Khan sparks controversy with his statement: 'Marital Rape Nahi Hota'

Adil Khan Durrani, Rakhi Sawant's ex-husband, is making waves in the news once more. He has stirred up controversy yet again. During a recent interview, Adil made a startling statement regarding marital rape, claiming that he does not believe it occurs.

“Jitna main dekhta hu, utna to marital rape nahin hota society mein. I know a lot of people and I have many international friends too and I have never heard of marital rape happening. There are very less cases of marital rape than actual rape,” he told Times Now.

Adil elaborated that if a man and a woman don't feel like engaging in activities together, it could be due to a lack of love between them. He suggested that in such a scenario, they should not continue to stay together.

Adil Khan Durrani was previously wed to Rakhi Sawant, but they went their separate ways last year after the Bigg Boss fame accused him of engaging in extramarital affairs. Adil was subsequently taken into custody from Rakhi's home and detained on February 7, 2023. After spending five months behind bars, he was eventually released.

Adil faced accusations of sexually assaulting an Iranian woman in February 2023. An FIR was lodged against Khan in Mysuru following a complaint by a 30-year-old Iranian woman. It is reported that the Iranian woman arrived in India in 2018 as a student to pursue her doctorate in pharmacy. She met Adil that year when he was reportedly managing a restaurant. Their relationship grew, with Adil allegedly promising to marry her. The woman stated that she lived with Adil in an apartment for three years. However, when she insisted on marriage five months ago, Adil threatened and assaulted her.

Adil Khan Durrani is currently wed to Bigg Boss 12 fame Somi Khan.
