Rahul Vaidya as Radio Jockey...

Indian Idol's Season One contestant Rahul Vaidya has now turned a Radio Jockey after trying his hands at anchoring. The singer is happy to be part of BIG FM and is looking forward to his interaction with audience.

"I think it's the best medium to connect with people. Even when I drive my car I listen to radio. I am enjoying this phase of my life," says Rahul.

For him the trend is to multi-task. "I continue to sing, and had even tried anchoring earlier. Now I have to move on a bit and thus got in as RJ on radio. Yesterday was my first day at BIG FM and people enjoyed it.  I also got a good response on a social networking site," he adds.

Talking about his show the singer cum anchor quips, "The name of my show is Jhakas Pachas which airs every Sunday from 5-9 pm. In this segment we will air top 50 hit songs."

"In addition to this, listeners will also hear me sing live on radio. It will be their choice and I will sing for them with the help of a guitarist. Let's see how it goes," he concludes.

Rahul Vaidya was earlier seen hosting Sahara One's Jjhoom India and Star Plus' reality show Aaja Mahi Vay.
