Rahil Azam in Sahara One's Mr. and Mrs. Mishra...

The versatile actor Rahil Azam is back on television, with Sahara One and Anubhav Sinha's new thriller, Mr. and Mrs. Mishra.

According to our source, "Mr. and Mrs. Mishra is a thriller wherein a group of investigative officers will be solving various cases related to crime. The show will be a daily from Monday to Friday, and will launch in early September. Each story will last for five episodes".

"The show is all about a couple Mr. and Mrs. Mishra who are involved in investigating cases. They are helped by a group of four officers. Rahil Azam who was last seen in Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Naa will be playing the role of Mr. Mishra. Noted actress Samreen Zaidi, who played the lead role in the movie Sheen which talked about the plight of Kashmiri pandits compelled to flee their homes at gunpoint will essay the role of Mrs. Mishra", informs our source.

Rahil Azam was to be seen as the main lead in NDTV Imagine's Seeta Aur Geeta, but unfortunately could not take up the project as he was down with double Malaria.

Rahil Azam on contacted, said "I can only tell you that I will soon be back on television. However, I cannot confirm the project right now, as I have 2-3 offers in hand".

However, Samreen Zaidi confirmed the news and said, "I am part of the project, and we have started shooting. I play the investigative officer Deepa Mishra, and Rahil Azam plays my husband, Abhimanyu Mishra".

"Viva girl Pratichee Mohapatra who had released her album 'With Love Pratichee' in 2005 will be seen essaying one of the officers in the group. In addition to Pratichee, actors Akshar, Priyamvadam and a new guy will be seen in the investigating team of four officers", states our source.

If the buzz is to be believed, the very first episode of the show will have some big names like Raja Chaudhary, Monica Bedi, Kashmira Shah, Aryan Vaid and Alina Wadiwalla making special appearances.

We tried contacting Producer Anubhav Sinha, but he remained unavailable for comments..

Sahara One will be first launching Creative Eye's mega mythological show Ganesh Leela on 17th August at 8.30 PM, followed by which the launch of Mr. and Mrs. Mishra will take place.
