Rahil and Mansi to play leads in Star Plus' biggie

Star Plus and Sphere Origin are presently working on a new show that is slated to be the next big fiction show on the channel. The concept of the show has been kept under wraps, but we hear that it has a very unique storyline, which has not been attempted so far on TV.

A little birdie tells us, "The show will have a Gujarati backdrop. The shoot is already underway in Jaisalmer. The show has some prominent names from the theatre background and from the big screen".

We hear that the versatile actor Rahil Azam has been roped in to play the male lead. Mansi Parekh who recently hosted Rocks India for Colors will play the female lead.

Even after repeated attempts, we could not get through to Rahil and Mansi.

Producer Sunjoy Wadhwa accepted that a show is in the offering for Star Plus, but asked us to call later.
 
The talk in the industry is that this show is going to be as big as Balika Vadhu. The show is expected to launch in a month or so.
