Sara will now be seen in the film Mid-summer Midnight Mumbai (M3) which has been directed by Braj Bhushan. All set to release on May 19, the film is a romantic and suspense thriller. Sharing about her role in the film, Sara says, "My role in quite an important one. Here, I play a rich young girl who indirectly complicates a situation. To know how she tries to solve the problem you will have to watch the movie." The film also features Paras Chabbra, Milind Gunaji, Raju Kher and Kiran Kumar.
This is apparently Sara's fourth film. Her debut film was a novel-based film Dark Rainbow, which is yet to release. Currently, she is also working on director Ravi Khanna's film Happy Singh and Peppy Singh.
We quiz her on what is better: films or television and pat comes the reply, "Films," adding, "Films are easy to work and very specific. Working in serials is like a job. You have to do a lot of hard work. Besides, you cannot even concentrate on anything else."
What if she had to pick one? "Well. Though I will prefer both, if I had to opt for one, it will of course be television as it helped me to become what I am today," she smiles.
Besides, recently Sara also did an item number in a Bengali film which is touted as the most expensive film among the Bengali films. Does this mean she is planning to explore regional cinema as well? "If I get a good opportunity, then why not," says she who became a household name post her debut serial Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai.
Apart from her profession, Sara was in limelight due to a tiff with her "best friend" and TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee. We ask her about the same and she explains, "Don't you have fights with your best friend? I'm sure you do, similar was our situation."
Does that mean it was highlighted because you are actors? "Of course. Actors' things get highlighted easily and quickly. I never wanted media to highlight this, but as we know that everyone needs something to talk about. Isn't it?"
And what's the status now? "All is well. The issues between us have been resolved."
Besides, with many actors trying to have a back-up plan apart from their usual acting profession, Sara seems to be following the same league. She recently launched her production house. Elaborating about the same, she says, "Production is not very easy to handle. I'm trying hard to get into it...gathering experience and even planning to produce a film. But such things need time to flourish."
As we wish her good luck, we get to know that she's is also in talks for shows. However, nothing has been finalized yet. Let's see what's more in store from her.
