"Photography is my love and passion": Sudhir Sharma

Tellybuzz in conversation with the producer to find out about his hobby...

Having a hobby and enjoying it apart from the mundane life is a pure blessing. It not only makes life interesting but promises to add the perfect spark to it. A successful producer, Sudhir Sharma of the popular television soap, Colors' Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha' shares his love for the camera with us.

Let's hear his love story with the camera.

How did you get into the hobby of photography? Was anybody from your family practicing it?

I cant recollect anyone in my family being a photographer but I was always passionate about this medium too apart from film & TV. Passion started with my grandfather's old Pentax camera. As kid I was so fascinated by the whole process of an image being captured, processed, developed and after many days you get to see the final image. It used to be like results of your board exams.

How was your experience while capturing the beauty of Nepal in your camera?

This was my first trip to Nepal & I guess I still need more days to capture it properly... It is an amazing place... A treat for photography and nature lovers...

How much time do you give your hobby apart from work?

Apart from my Photosafari trips with Himanshu Seth (well-known photographer), I try and go with a group on almost every Sunday for photography sessions. This group is headed by my friend and teacher Kaushik Chakravorty of Breaking Rules (renowned photographer and ex senior photo journo of Better Photography magazine). It's fun to click in such an informal environment.

Did you ever think of becoming a photographer?

I am already a photographer.

Since how long are you spending time with your camera?

Almost 4 to 5 years now.

What kind of photography do you like the most?

Portraits and nature. Love to click different characters in people.

Which camera do you prefer for clicking pictures? Which cameras you have used so far?

Totally in love with my Canon 5D MarkII ... Have also shot on Nikon D40x D70x, Pentax etc.

Do you want to give any tips for capturing the best image in your camera?

I think observation with love and compassion is the key for great pictures.

Share something about the best clicked picture by you, which was appreciated the most. (Describe what and where it was shot).

There are many can't think of one or two specifically.

Are you looking forward to having a career in photography?

For me it's my love and passion rather than a career.
