"Its fun to play a negative role" : Vishal Vashishtha

Handsome and talented actor Vishal Vashishtha who was last seen in Channel V's Crazy Stupid Ishq, is now gaining appreciation for portraying Baldev in Beyond Dreams' popular show Veera on Star Plus. The actor is enjoying playing the negative role in the show. TellyBuzz spoke to the actor to know more about his experience being a part of the show.

When asked Vishal about how he bagged this role, he told us, "It happened randomly! They had called me to audition for the role of Ranvi and they also gave me the script for the character of Baldev. I auditioned for both but they liked me more in the character of Baldev. I had never thought of playing negative role. It's fun to play a negative role. This role was quite different and I had to work upon my appearance to look fit in this role. I am always clean shaved but for this role, I have to keep a beard and had to change my hairstyle little bit."  

Vishal has followed the show earlier and he wants to meet young Baldev as he hasn't met him yet. He says, "It feels great to be a part of the hit show. The show has always been doing great and it has gained popularity even after its leap. People have accepted us after the leap. I used to follow the show earlier also. I have met Harshita Ojha and Bhavesh Bhalchandani and they were amazing. I haven't met young Baldev yet and I really want to meet him once."

When we quizzed Vishal to know the real side of him, he told us, "I am not like Baldev. Work is very important for me; I keep on thinking about my work all the time. I start thinking about my work for the next day before going to sleep. I like to stay casual and leading a simple life with my friends."  

Talking about his future plans he added, "I would like to stay with acting in future too."
