"I can relate to the character of Najma in real life" : Neha Lakshmi Iyer

Neha Lakshmi Iyer aka Najma of Zee TV’s popular show Qubool Hai, talks about how is the character of Najma relatable to her in real life, her bonding with Karan Singh Grover who has been recently replaced by RaQesh Vashisth in the show and much more...

Neha Lakshmi IyerThe cute and bubbly Neha Lakshmi Iyer who plays Najma in Four Lions' popular show Qubool Hai on Zee TV, feels that she can very well relate to the character of Najma and the pretty actress misses shooting with her on-screen brother Karan Singh Grover, with whom she used to share a great bond off-screen as well.

TellyBuzz spoke to Neha to know about her experience of playing the character of Najma and her bonding with her on-screen brother Karan Singh Grover.

Neha Lakshmi says that she relates to the character of Najma in real life as well and till now has enjoyed playing the character in the show, "It's a great experience playing this character so far and I am having a lot of fun. Initially, she was shown very bubbly who always used to listen to her brother. After that, her love story was shown in the show. So, this character has undergone through a great transition. She is very strong and always voices her opinion. In real, I am very much like that; if I think that something is going wrong then I take a stand for it."

As seen in the show that another talented actor RaQesh Vashisth has entered the show as Asad who has replaced Karan Singh Grover, so when asked Neha about how much she misses Karan on the show with whom she used to share a great bond on the sets, she added, "It's been a long time that I have not shot with him because I was shown married in the show and I was living at my in-laws place. I definitely miss him on the show because we used to share a great bond."

When asked about the buzz going round in the media about Karan Singh Grover who was asked to quit the show citing the reason of his unprofessional behavior, she told us, "I have never experienced any such things. I had a great time with him and he is a very professional and a great co-actor to work with. I was very happy working with him. I have a lot of fond memories with him. Our brother sister scenes were always amazing and we always had lots of fun shooting together."

Talking about RaQesh, who has stepped into Karan's shoes in the show, she told us, "I haven't shot with him yet as shooting was happening at different set but I have seen the episodes and he is also doing a great job as Asad."

When asked Neha about what are her interests other than acting and is there anything more on the career front in the future? This is what she says, "I love to dance other than acting. Dance is my passion and there are no such plans for my future yet."

Way to go Neha!
