Actress Nehalaxmi Iyer says audiences enjoy watching negative characters on the small screen as they add more drama and fun to a show.

Nehalaxmi has re-entered the Star Plus show 'Ishqbaaaz' as Saumya. The once bubbly and fun-loving Saumya will now be seen in a negative role.

"I am really excited about the progress of my character, Saumya. From positive to now with revenge on her mind, the character graph has changed 360 degrees. I am loving every bit of it," Nehalaxmi said in a statement.

"The best feedback coming in is from my fans who are equally excited about this change. This is very encouraging. Also, I do feel that audiences enjoy watching negative characters because they definitely bring more drama and a fun element to the scene," she added.

this is called gul khan brain wash. sh brain washed her.. just as she did amrapali.. by saying negatives are loved and people enjoy watching them.. yeh not true. even aunties that watch it et annoyed.

I don't like Saumya being negative or the 3rd NB sister because the character deserves better than that, but I'm happy Neha is back.

Ishqbaaz is the biggest joke in the history of tv entertainment and the actors are also coming front ridiculing themselves. What a stupid show and stupid characters. Bullshit to the max.

I always wanted saumya to be a grey character
But then Gul and her creative team which is not so creative did this disaster
I mean they didn't turn her grey but completely negative and what's more funny is she was even supposed lead of this show

Too much negativity illogical random tracks and not focussing on story ruined DBO and IB dropping rating is the answer so Neha no audience do not enjoy too much negativity

Wasn't Saumya turning negative was the very reason why she quit the show in the 1st place saying she doesn't want to play negative character? And now she is suddenly excited and thinks audience enjoy it? Anything for promoting your own role..

Is she completely happy or ok with the way they changed her chatacter, being Love Angel into pathetic Vamp/negative? She may be or may not but I M TOTALLY NOT!
Shocking statement..I didn't expect this kind of statement and assumption from Neha. Disappointed!!

Actors tend to wash their hands by favouring the part they are playing.. if playing a negative role then up to them this is something out of the world and audiences are enjoying it and vice versa ... Though they are aware that they are completely wrong.
Here Nehalaxmy Iyer is completely wrong no one is enjoying her making faces and smirking...So PATHETIC of them to say that whatever role they are playing is being adored when it is the contrary.
