Keeping the element of love at its core, bindass launched an all new season of 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui - Sun Yaar Try Maar' for which they roped in Anshit Sharma, popularly known as Rapper Maddy as the new host. Maddy will be narrating each tale with his exclusively created raps for every unique story showcased on the show.

Having gained immense fan following with his penta - lingual rapping, the actor stepped into Rithvik Dhanjani's shoes recently.

Tellybuzz talks to Rapper Maddy about his stint on television.

Please tell us how did you bag this show?

There have been many people who have seen me perform and have appreciated my work. Probably that's the reason I received such a big opportunity. Moreover,I believe this show has come to me by the grace of God.

You are a talented rapper. Why did you choose to do 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui -Sun Yaar Try Maar'?

'Yeh Hai Aashiqui' is an iconic love show on television today and I am glad to be associated with the third season - Sun Yaar Try Maar. In addition, the show needed a narrator with specific attributes and to my luck I possess the similar qualities.

A love story narrated through a specially crafted rap hasn't really been explored in the world of television before. Your viewpoint.

A love story narrated in the form of a rap is very unique and this is the first time that the audience is witnessing something like this on television. I feel people must be loving it.

Please elaborate on your contribution to the show?

'Sun Yaar Try Maar' is an interesting show and I add the entertainment element to it. Yes I am rapping on the show and every episode has a self-created rap, which goes in sync with the tale.

How have you made anchoring 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui' any different?

I play the character of "Pyaar Ka Bhoot." PKB is an invisible ghost, who does not make two people fall in love with each other but he explains the couple's situation and emotions in the form of a rap. I wouldn't term it as hosting, but yes I narrate the show in my unique way. Like I mentioned before, narrating a tale in the form of a rap itself is something very different and fun.

How do you think narrating a story through the rap has generated a response among the young audience?

I think music is loved by every generation and the idea of incorporating music with an interesting story is a blockbuster. The youth today want something new and fun all the time, so this is totally an out the box concept, which the audience can relate to.

Are you nervous about being able to do justice to your role as a host, given the fact that the earlier seasons being hosted by popular television actors have done well?

I haven't been nervous.. but yes, I definitely feel it's been challenging. Considering the fact that the concept is totally different and the demand of the character is also different, I believe the audience gets to watch the show with a different perspective all together.

Is hosting this show a challenge to you?

Yes, absolutely. This show marks my journey into an unexplored space. I am learning something new every day and I do hope the audience appreciates my work.

Well said, Rapper Maddy!
