'Qubool Hai' actor roped in for Star Plus upcoming project on the '2013 floods'?

Star Plus is innovating with its programming by bringing in shows like 'Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka?' and 'Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji' in its afternoon slot.

Now, the reports have rolled out that Sagar Pictures is working on a dramatic presentation of the floods which killed many in the northern region of the country in 2013.

As per reports, the 'Qubool Hai' actor Shehzad Shaikh will play the lead role in the show.

The actor took a leap into Bollywood after his stint in 'Qubool Hai' and this show will mark his comeback on the small screen.

The casting for the show is in process.

As per sources, the unit will fly to Rishikesh soon to shoot the pilot.

Shehzad confirmed the development and told an entertainment portal that he is looking forward to this new start on TV. He said that he cannot comment much about the show but is sure that viewers will be blown away with the concept and execution. When we contacted Producer of Sagar Pictures, Meenakshi Sagar she said, "It's too early to comment as nothing has been finalised yet."
