The first promo of Zee TV's upcoming show, Tujhse Hai Raabta was out a while ago and it did create waves in terms of the concept that is will reflect. While, it seemed like a quintessential story initially, this second promo completely nulls that. Involving several dialogues, a bitter relationship is highlighted and the promo undoubtedly tops the previous one.
What's It About?
We have now met the teenage daughter (played by Reem Sheikh) and her stepmother (played by Poorva Gokhale), so there is no introduction and in fact cutting the chase to a particular sequence.
Reem's character needs to have a letter signed for going on a school trip and for that she has to forcibly approach her stepmother. However, when Poorva's character takes the sheet from her, there are tick boxes about 'Mother' or 'Guardian.' Contemplating on which one to think, Reem's character tries to stop her from signing on the 'mother' tick-box.
Surprisingly, Poorva's character asks her to stay calm as even she isn't interested in becoming her mother and ticks on the 'Guardian' box. To this, Reem's character says some harsh words and concludes saying she can't even be.
What's Good?
It is finally good to see some dialogues in the promo and the lines speak volumes about the animosity that the step mother-daughter share along with the despising looks they give each other.
The shocking moment was when Poorva's character also fires at Reem's character saying even she isn't concerned about being her mother which is a good twist to the assumption. One would predict that the step-mother would try and coax and handle the insults, but the former doesn't and that raises your intrigue.
What's the Not-So-Good?
In this one, we do not find any flaw, where in fact things are a lot clearer.
The Verdict
Giving an engaging twist to the quintessential 'hatred' track between a step-mother and daughter is the right way to present a promo, and that alone is another reason to look forward to Tujhse Hai Raabta.
