#PromoReview: Jennifer Winget & Harshad Chopra leave you MYSTIFIED in 'Beypanhaa'

Colors' much-awaited mega show, Beypanhaa has been doing the rounds for a long time now. And ever since the revelation of Jennifer Winget and Harshad Chopra being paired opposite each other for the series, the curiosity and excitement levels have soared.

The channel recently released two separate teaser promos for both Jennifer and Harshad.

And now, let's see how they transpired-

In both the teasers, there is one thing that is absolutely clear and that is Aditya (Harshad Chopda) and Zoya (Jennifer Winget) not only belong to different worlds but are in fact extremely happy in their lives as they are happily married to their respective partners (played by Namita Dubey and Sehban Azim).

However, those few happy seconds immediately change course as one phone call completely changes the emotions of both Zoya and Aditya. The twist and mystery behind the call and the immediate questions pertaining the content of the conversation leaves you on the edge of the seat by the end of the promo.

As we witness Jennifer and Harshad in different frames with different people, their sizzling chemistry with their respective partners make you fall in love instantly. Harshad and Namita's tall frame and kitchen romance is endearing, while Sehban and Jennifer's bedroom romance is intense and sensuous.

The idea of having a switch of emotions from all smiles to worried expression, crying and shocked protagonists in a mere 20 seconds is fantastic. And kudos to Jennifer and Harshad for being able to exhibit the same in the most amazing manner.

If you can manage to have the viewer puzzling about a thousand questions as he/she watches the promo of a mystery show, you have done your job with full conviction. Beypanhaa does that with complete justice and leaves you thinking and asking for more.

Of course, a mere 20 seconds is not enough to judge anything negative about the show; however, 'THE phone call that changes it all' is a concept we have seen in several Hollywood and Bollywood films. We certainly hope we do not see a repetition in any way or any 'inspiration' as one calls it.

Harshad Chopra has the pressure of having a roaring comeback while Jennifer has to surpass her own self after her benchmark performance in Beyhadh. With a short teaser, the duo seems to be on it already and I cannot be more glad if the show turns out to be a game changer; and with this a channel like Colors will at least guarantee decent viewership unlike other lesser GRP-gaining channels. With intrigue, mystery and a dream star cast, Beypanhaa has all the ingredients to become a numero uno show and we can be certain of some makeshifts on Indian TV soon.

One may remember these image that surfaced from on the internet from the earlier days of the promo shoot and looking it at and the teasers, it seems like an extended cut.

We would like to forecast on how this mysterious phone call will be about the deaths of the husband and wife of Zoya and Aditya respectively and how that phone call will administer the meeting of Zoya and Aditya in a situation they wouldn't like to be in.
