The long wait to Ekta Kapoor and Alt Balaji's upcoming venture, Hum is finally over, where the trailer of the show recently went live. Initially called Kapoors, the show stars Ridhima Pandit, Karishma Sharma and Kushal Tandon is lead roles.

There was a lot of anticipation as to what is the show about, and now that I have seen the promo, let's find out..

What's It About?

The crux of the show is pretty simple. It is a story about three sisters, Devina (Ridhima Pandit), Isha (Karishma Sharma) and Sakshi (Payal Bhojwani), who are poles apart from each other, in terms of their nature or approach towards life. But, it is largely about Devina and Isha, where the former is the responsible one and vows to not let their family fall apart, while the latter is a carefree individual who just wants a lavish lifestyle and nothing else.

Their bond is close and normal, but just like anyone, they have their aspirations in life too. Everything changes in that one day that occurs in their life with the entry of Kushal Tandon's character and of Satyajit Sharma's character. The sisters are suddenly the recipient of the lavish and comfortable lifestyle that they hoped for which, seemingly is the doing of Satyajit's character.

But, all too soon, Devina and Isha, apparently fall in love with the same guy (Kushal Tandon's character); then things get twisted as Satyajit's character asks one of the girls to marry her among other things. With tumultuous times ahead, the tagline reads that 'be careful what you wish for - you may just get it.'

What's Good

The storyline of the show initially seems run-off-the-mill, but as the promo progresses, the different shades come to play and thus leaves you wondering a lot about everything.

Ridhima Pandit as Devina totally stands out, as not only does she get the maximum screen time in the promo, but also does she looks absolutely fantastic in the role. Smiles in the inital seconds, and one crying face, we are already certain that Devina will be the star of the show and thus will be Ridhima.

What's Not-So-Good

Karishma Sharma as Isha, though seems really bold and fabulous owing to the actress' portrayal of the same, but looking at her play Isha seems monotonous in some ways. You don't have a surprise element with her role, only taking the promo into consideration.

Not only does Kushal's character have the least screen-time, but also there is nothing that you are shown in length about him. There is apparently just one possibility and i.e. apparently, he will be two-timing with Devina and Isha. But, we don't know if that's entirely true.

The Verdict

With a novel plotline, Ridhima Pandit's freshening screen presence and acting chops powered by Alt Balaji's backing, Hum seems the kind of web show you want to add in your want-to-watch list, and probably enjoy it the most with your siblings or cousins.
