#PromoReview: Arjun - Aalisha's 'Ishq Mein Marjawan' is a story that is stained with blood and pain

Colors is all set to bring in yet another array of shows in the form of Arjun Bijlani - Aalsiha Panward starred Ishq Mein Marjawan, Jennifer Winget - Harshad Chopra - Sehban Azim starred Adhura Alvida, and, Krystle Dsouza's Belan Bahu.

Amongst all the three, the first looks for Ishq Mein Marjawan and Adhura Alvida are out, while nothing is yet known about Belan Bahu. A few weeks back, we saw a teaser of Ishq Mein Marjawan, which had all of us totally intrigued and at the same time tantalized.

And now, the promo of the show is here, and let us tell you, it is every bit promising. Read on as we analyze the story, the acting and the entire look from the first promo.

The promo starts off with Aarohi (Aalisha) and Deep (Arjun) running towards each other while the voice over talks about how they had a very happy beginning. Cut to, a life changing night for Aarohi is spoken about, where there happens to be blood shed, after which, she is trying to escape the police.

Deep and Aarohi are shown parting away as the latter is taken away by the police officials and forced into the jeep. Meanwhile, a female voice over talks about how things heard about love are opposite to what actually happens. 

The promo ends with Aarohi behind the bars, mouthing a dialogue - "Pyaar ne woh kiya hai mere saath, ki duniya ka bharosa uth jayega pyaar se aaj ke baad."

The entire backdrop and interface of the show comes across as surreal and equally impactful. For a promo that talks about love first and betrayal later, the setting is quite something.

Also, the music score needs a special mention as it is intense and goes by perfectly with the plot of the show.

Moving on to the story, from what we can gauge, it isn't actually betrayal in love but is a breach of trust that lands Aarohi in the jail. Or more so, it could be both. The fact that the promo is more of an open ended one, it leaves quite a lot of scope to land onto various conclusions (which we think is nice, because that is what will bring the viewers back to the show).

Actors Arjun and Aalisha have done total justice to the plot and it is their acting along with the storyline that makes the promo a worthy watch. Not to forget, we'll be seeing Arjun in a negative role like never before.  

Verdict:

High hopes sure ride on this one. Whether or not the show will turn out to be just another revenge drama is what we are yet to know of. But, so far, so good. And we don't think that this will turn into anything that we've seen on television before.
