Priyanshu Painyuli on 'U Turn': It's not easy to shoot horror genre; would love to do more of such thrillers

Arif Khan's U-Turn is a supernatural thriller film about drivers who conduct an illegal U-turn but are unaware that it would change the course of their life. Alaya F, Priyanshu Painyuli, Rajesh Sharma, Aashim Gulati, Shreedhar Dubey, Sahil Takhi, and Apoorva Suman are among the cast members. Balaji Telefilms Limited, owned by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R. Kapooor, is the producing firm. Amid the release, India Forums engaged in a candid conversation with actor Priyanshu Painyuli. When asked, What was your biggest learning / take-away from U-Turn, he said,

"I think my biggest learning from U Turn will be whenever you are shooting a horror supernatural thriller film it does get very intense and you might get into situations that will scare you but you need to realize that you are just shooting. It did happen to us at certain locations and we have spoken about it in many interviews. It isn’t scary normally but if you are in the mood and the story is like that it happens. Because you are trying to depict something you tend to start believing in such things for a short term of time. That’s where you get terrified."

He further added that,

 "It is not very easy to shoot a supernatural horror film and U Turn is my first one in this genre. I found it very exciting and thrilling. After U Turn, I am a big fan of this genre and would love to do more horror thriller films. My another takeaway when we were shooting in Chandigarh was that I love the city. I have never stayed there for this long this was my first time there but it’s got great food."

We further asked him that, with so much content out there, why should people invest their time in watching U-Turn? To this he expressed and views and said,

"U Turn which is coming on ZEE5 on 28th April is a must-watch. Every person who is a lover of good stories and who wants to watch new films which are thrilling should watch this one. To all the fans of crime/drama/horror/thriller U Turn offers everything. I also think it is a very stylish, fast paced film so it's not going to take much time. It is not even a 2 hour film, which will keep you on the edge of your seat. I am sure you will discuss it with your friends and family. If you like entertaining stuff which is less than 2 hours U Turn is the right choice for you."  

The film is all set to stream on ZEE5 from 28th April onwards.
