Priyanka Choudhry on quitting ‘Udaariyaan’: It is sinking in and it is ofcourse emotional

Colors’ show ‘Udaariyaan’ is set for a major change as the show is set for a major leap. Currently, the track of the show revolves around Nehmat and Naaz knowing about their truth. Nehmat has accepted Fateh and Tejo as her parents while Naaz is also happy re-uniting with her maasi.

The lead couple Fateh and Tejo played by Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Chahar Choudhry are set to quit the show paving way for new generation to take over. The recent promo of the show features Fateh and Tejo singing a good-bye song while the new leads Nehmat and Naaz, to be played by Twinkle Arora and Sonakshi Batra are seen walking hand in hand.

When I first learned about it, I was fine with it. I believed that it’s a part and parcel of an actors’ life. But now when I look at the promo, it has finally started to sink in that we won’t be a part of the show anymore and it’s of course an emotional feeling.

India Forums got in touch with actress Priyanka Chahar Chaudhry and asked her about her initial thoughts after learning about the show taking a generation leap. She said, “Well, yes, as you’ll know, the show is set for a generation leap and that’s why Ankit and I will no longer be a part of the show. When I first learned about it, I was fine with it. I believed that it’s a part and parcel of an actors’ life. But now when I look at the promo, it has finally started to sink in that we won’t be a part of the show anymore and it’s of course an emotional feeling because I’m quite connected and close to the character of Tejo. I have seen the promo at least a hundred times, because probably it can be the last promo of Tejo”.

She added, “I’d like to thank Ravi and Sargun for believing in me and giving me ‘Udaariyaan’. It will always be special to me and will always remain close to my heart. I’ve got a lot of exposure because of the show and it has been an enriching experience so far”.
