Preetika Rao receives an Oscar replica from a Pakistani fan based in Canada!

Preetika not only enjoys this fan following in India but also has a huge fan following amongst Indians Pakistanis Bangladeshis and Sri Lankans spread across the world.  While portraying the character of Aaliya, she also became an inspiration for several Muslim girls who said she inspires them to be true Muslims.  

Recently, one such fan Shabina flew down from London to the sets of Beintehaa only to be able to meet her inspiration Aaliya before the show ended. 

Preetika who was pleasantly overwhelmed by this gesture said, " Shabina not only convinced her three kids to stay back in London saying that she will bring them autographed pictures signed by Aaliya but also convinced her husband to fly down from South Africa to join her in Mumbai. She told me that I am a role model to several Muslim girls who take inspiration from Aaliya to be true Muslims and also got me a personalized mug that read "Muslim Barbie Doll."

Now that's not all... Several fans have also been sending the Actress personalised awards and trophies, "I have received two trophies from fans all over the world who have got in touch with their Indian fan counterparts on social networking sites and collectively contributed to send me trophies to felicitate my work.  A Pakistani girl based in Canada called Laraib has sent me an Oscar replica with my name engraved on it. Also another heart-touching trophy was sent by my fans which had 'Malika-e-Fans' written on it. A few of my fans visited my sets during the last few days of the show with cakes, bouquets and also gave me several personalize gifts."  

"Fans were totally disheartened that the show has come to an end and are already requesting for a Season 2," concludes a blushing Preetika.
