Post Sanam Teri Kasam, Rajkummar Rao's THIS film to Re-Release In Celebration of Women's Day

Following the successful re-releases of Sanam Teri Kasam and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Bollywood's trend of revisiting classic films continues with Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda, the film is set for a re-release on March 7th, aligning with Women's Day week.

Deepak Mukut, producer of Sanam Teri Kasam, is excited about the resurgence of interest in older films. He believes Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana has earned its cult status over time, and its re-release reflects this growing appreciation. Despite a modest initial box office run, the film's compelling narrative, strong performances, and popular song "Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar" have solidified its place as a fan favorite.

There’s no major Hindi release on March 7, as The Diplomat has been postponed to March 14. This gives Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana a great opportunity to shine. If the audience demand is strong, the screen count could increase

Aarti, played by Kriti Kharbanda, is on the verge of an arranged marriage with Sattu (Rajkummar Rao). However, on her wedding day, she learns she has passed her PCS exams. Knowing her conservative future in-laws won't allow her to work after marriage, Aarti makes the difficult decision to flee, only confiding in her sister and uncle. This leaves Sattu devastated and humiliated. Five years later, Aarti has become a successful sub-registrar, but her past resurfaces when she is accused of corruption. She discovers the officer leading the investigation is none other than Sattu.

Directed by Ratnaa Sinha and produced by Vinod Bachchan's Soundrya Productions, the film's re-release was confirmed by filmmaker Anubhav Sinha on Instagram.
