Ponniyin Selvan 2: Makers release a teaser along with the release date

Lyca Productions is announcing something big to end 2022. The next big-budget movie Ponniyin Selvan 2's release date as well as a teaser have been revealed by the production company as promised. The release date for PS 2 has been announced by Lyca on Twitter for April 28, 2023.

Aditya Karikalan (Vikram), Arulmozhi Varman (Jayam Ravi), and Vandhiyathevan are all visible in the most recent teaser (Karthi). Arulmozhi is seen wandering among numerous monks, while Karikalan is shown furiously as he stands in front of a statue of Kali. However, given that he is shown with numerous wounds, it appears that Vandhiyathevan is back in his escapades.

After a fight with Pandiyas, Arulmozhi Varman (Jayam Ravi) and Vandhiyathevan (Karthi) perished in the sea in the cliffhanger ending of Ponniyin Selvan 1. Fans were confused when the character of Oomai Rani's face was revealed in the first installment's end credit scene because Aishwarya Rai also portrays the role.

The second chapter of Ponniyin Selvan will explain how Arulmozhi and Vandhiyathevan are saved as well as Nandini's real origin story. The second instalment will conclude Ponniyin Selvan's story. Ponniyin Selvan's fictitious account of Raja Raja Cholan and his rise to power is based on the novel series by Kalki Krishnamoorthy, which was written nearly 70 years ago.

The Ponniyin Selvan films, which are directed by Mani Ratnam,  prominently feature Vikram, Trisha, Prakash Raj, Kishore, and Sarathkumar. Both the film's score is given by by AR Rahman and its visuals by Ravi Varman.
