'People can relate to my voice' - Bhavya Pandit

One of the strong contenders of Indian Idol 4, the very talented Bhavya chats with us about her stint in Indian Idol...

Bhavya Pandit, the very talented singer from Jalandhar has a cutting edge over others in Indian Idol 4, courtesy her great voice quality.

In a chit-chat, the girl tells us why she deserves to win this season’s ‘Indian Idol’…

How does it feel to be one the finalists in Indian Idol 4?
It really feels great to be here. It was not at all easy for any one of us and especially for me, as I had to go through lots of pressure and emotional moments which were difficult to handle, but still I managed. Thank God that the voting has been getting steady for me.

Is it difficult to handle popularity at such a young age?
I won't consider it as handling popularity, but I would rather say that it’s the love of audience that they have appreciated my singing, and for that I’m really thankful. It is not just good things here but I also take criticism as it comes and try to improve on it.

What are your future plans career-wise?
For me education is and will always be first priority. With that I would go for stage shows that I will get after Indian Idol ends. For now I have not thought too much about what will be next but hopefully everything should be great.

Were your parents supportive with coming in Idol?
They were always supportive in all the things I did. I am into singing because of them. They have nurtured me in each and every way. I really miss them here and also miss Ananya my friend and co contestant.

Who will win this time? A girl or a boy…
Initially it was looking difficult as we saw girls going one after the other, but now things have stabilized. If the current situation is taken into consideration there are chances of a girl winning this year. Let's see what happens.

From the four judges who are you scared of?
I’m scared of Anuji and Kailashji as they have lots of hope from me and I don’t want to disappoint them. I remember that once Kailashji told me that he is writing an article for an international magazine and he would write about me. That was so nice of him to do it.

Why do you think you should win Indian Idol?
I feel my voice quality is different and unique. It is also contemporary and I know I’m a versatile singer. I think people can relate to my voice. So I think I should win the title.
