The saga surrounding actor Pearl V Puri has indeed taken one and all by shock where an unknown person came out and went on to allege that Puri 'raped five year old girl' back in 2019.

Following this, all the biggest possible names in the television industry ranging from Ekta Kapoor to Erica Fernandes ave come out in solidarity and have supported Puri with their posts, comments and other things.

However, as of now, Puri is still in custody at the Waliv police station under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act. Now, a latest update suggests that Puri will undergo a RT-PCR test and if tested negative, he will be shifted to Thane Jail.

According to ETimes TV, Sanjay Patil DCP (Zone 2, Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar), said, "Anyone who is arrested has to undergo a COVID-19 test. Pearl V Puri will also undergo a RT-PCR test and if it is negative, he will be shifted to Thane jail tomorrow. Right now, he is at the Waliv Police station."

Following the arrest, Puri was remanded to a 14-day judicial custody.

Earlier in his statement, DCP Patil said, "The victim narrated the incident which happened in 2019 on the sets of a TV show. During the investigation, she took the name of the character, the accused was playing in the show. The allegations are not false, there is evidence, so Pearl was arrested. We are investigating further and the truth will come out in the court trial."
