Payal Ghosh to tender apology to Richa Chadha, says "fight for justice is against only Anurag Kashyap"

Actress Payal Ghosh has accused filmmaker Anurag Kashyap of sexual assault and stated in a tweet that the filmmaker forced himself on her. She had also dragged Richa Chadha as she made remarks against her.

Post this, Richa Chadha filed a defamation suit against Ghosh and termed her claims as false, frivolous and vexatious. 

The hearing of the defamation case was scheduled at the Bombay High Court today, on Wednesday. After the verdict, Payal Ghosh's lawyer stated that the actress will withdraw her statement and issue an apology. 

"My client has accepted the request. She is ready to tender apology and withdraw the statement. She is ready to settle the matter," Nitin Satpute wrote on Twitter.

Soon after her lawyer's statement, Payal took to Twitter to pen a message for Richa. She wrote: 

"I hv nothing to do wd Ms Chadda. We as women hv got 2stand wd each other,shoulder to shoulder.I don't want any unintentional harrasment to her or me on this matter. My fight 4justice is against only Mr. Kashyap &I want 2focus solely on dt ryt now.Lets make d world c his true face." [sic]

Payal had alleged that Anurag told her that female actors like Richa, Mahie Gill and Huma Qureshi would perform sexual favours for him and he expected the same from her.Anurag has denied the allegations, calling them baseless.

She had also filed a FIR against Kashyap accusing him of wrongful restrain, wrongful confinement and outraging the modesty of a woman, post which the filmmaker was summoned by the Mumbai Police.
