Pak actress Humaira Asghar's major organs were reduced to an unidentifiable mass; postmortem report out

Pakistani actress Humaira Asghar, who gained recognition for her participation in Tamasha Ghar, the Pakistani adaptation of Big Brother, was discovered dead in her Karachi apartment in Defence Phase 6. Following the discovery of Pakistani actor Humaira Asghar's body in her Karachi apartment, roughly nine months after her death, the postmortem report has unveiled unsettling findings. According to Geo News, forensic experts determined that Humaira's remains were in an "advanced stage of decomposition" when discovered by authorities earlier this month.

The postmortem report indicated that the actress's major organs had deteriorated into an "unidentifiable mass" due to the extended time since her death. Furthermore, her facial features were rendered unrecognizable. "Parts of the body were entirely devoid of muscle tissue, and the bones began to disintegrate upon touch," the report stated.

“The brain matter was completely decomposed via autolysis, and internal organs turned into a black-coloured mass. The cartilage in joints was absent; however, it said no fractures were detected in bones," it added.

“Experts say that these details may help determine the environmental conditions in which she lay undisturbed," the report said.

“According to the post-mortem findings, the head and spine remained intact, but there was no spinal cord as the body was highly decomposed. It further said brown-coloured insects were present, especially in the hair, but no maggots were found," the post-mortem report mentioned.

Due to the advanced decomposition, the postmortem report was unable to definitively determine the cause of death. It was also reported that DNA profiling and toxicology tests would not be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.

Following the discovery, Humaira's family, including her father and brother, declined to claim her body. Her father expressed a complete disavowal of any connection, telling the police, "We have nothing to do with her. We have broken ties with her long ago. Do whatever you want with her dead body. We will not take it."

Despite the police's efforts to persuade them, Humaira's family refused to claim her body, stating their estrangement from her. Authorities are now working to navigate the legal procedures.
