'No husband would..': Navina Bole on whether her choice of BOLD ROLES led to DIVORCE with Jeet Karnani

Television actress Navina Bole has been making headlines ever since she opened up on her experience of meeting Sajid Khan. The actress, known for her stint in shows like Mile Jab Hum Tum, Ishqbaaz and more, levied some shocking allegations on Khan.

Well, in the same interview, the actress also opened up on her failed marriage and revealed if her bold choice of roles onscreen affected her life with husband Jeet offscreen. Speaking to Subhojit Ghosh, the actress, opening up on the notion says, ''Firstly I'd like to say, you have to support whatever your partner does, career wise. If your partner is a doctor you would not question anything they would do as a doctor. When your wife is an actor, the ceiling is being broken as far as acting is concerned. First there was just TV, now there is OTT, there are other mediums where you can branch out to and that is what I chose to do.''

''I realised I am getting better opportunities in OTT, I am getting better roles in OTT. I also see that there are people who are doing a lot of intimate stuff and getting clothes out, big actresses who are married, who are respectable. They are doing it, all of them are doing it. There is no questioning or doubting,'' Navina adds.

The actress mentions how, just because she was doing intimate scenes on a 'Shemaaro' or an 'Alt Balaji,' she was looked down upon and that others who were doing the same thing on 'Netflix,' weren't. She calls it hyocrisy. ''I have my own set of boundaries and whoever my partner is has to be comfortable with that. I am not saying he was the happiest with that, clearly no husband would be, no Indian husband would be. But he had no problem with that. He said, 'I know this is your work, you do it, I don't have to necessarily watch it.' That was not the point due to which we had differences which resulted into things come to a pause. We were just two people who were not compatible. We were just two people who stopped loving each other as two partners should.''

For the uninformed, Navina and Jeet chose to part ways after 7 years of marriage and filed for a divorce in 2024. The couple is currently co parenting their baby daughter.
