The Star Plus show "Anupamaa" has recently taken a significant leap of five years, bringing about substantial alterations not only in its storyline but also in the cast. While some viewers express happiness, others are somewhat disappointed as their favourite characters either bid farewell or undergo significant personality changes in the storyline. Dimple (Dimpy), in particular, has become a focal point of discussions as she transforms into the second Anupamaa of the Shah household, enduring hardships for the sake of her son.

In a recent exclusive conversation with one of the leading portals, Nishi Saxena, who portrays the character of Dimple in the popular TV show "Anupamaa," opened up about the mixed emotions the current 5-year leap has stirred among the audience.

Reflecting on her character's evolution, Nishi remarked on the rapid changes and diverse phases Dimple experienced in a relatively short period. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to portray a character with numerous layers and shades, considering it a dream come true for any actor.

Addressing the characterization of Dimple as the second Anupamaa, Nishi acknowledged the high expectations set by Rupali Ma'am (referring to Rupali Ganguly, who plays Anupamaa). She emphasized the efforts she is putting in to convince viewers that Dimple can indeed fill the shoes of the beloved Anupamaa. Despite Dimple's initial dissimilarity to Anu, Nishi explained that the character transformed due to life's circumstances, emerging as the new Anupamaa in the Shah household.

Regarding the overall leap in the "Anupamaa" storyline, Nishi adopted a pragmatic stance, stating that changes are inherent in every show to keep things fresh and prevent audience boredom. After three years of the show's run, she acknowledged the need for shifts in characters, layers, and plotlines. While recognizing that it's only been a few days since the leap, Nishi believes it will take a few weeks to gauge whether the audience truly embraces the changes. As a dedicated Anupamaa fan since the show's inception, she personally enjoyed the leap and expressed anticipation for more developments in the storyline.

Her character has regressed further post leap! I loved how she used to bash toxic TamaShahs pre leap! Now she’s a useless doormat like her Saas!

What nonsense! She is literally an unpaid maid who gets oppressed voluntarily. Disgusting. I guess thoo thoo Shahis are getting a high out of seeing their personas on the show - VanRajan and Leepa, torturing another mother for no reason and making her slave for them
