Nikita Sharma on Naagin: If I have to do a drama show then why not supernatural?

Naagin drama has become very popular on the Indian television and joining this bandwagon, Dangal TV is gearing up for its upcoming show, Ek Ichadhari Naagin Ka Inteqam. The show will feature Mahakali- Anth Hi Aarambh Hai actress Nikita Sharma in the lead role. This show will revolve around the life of a Naagin who loses her husband. It will trace her journey of revenge and challenges of finding her husband who has reincarnated in the land of humans.

We got in touch with Nikita who spoke to us about this new journey. Sharing details about her character she said, “I am playing a Naagin in the show who has entered the land of humans for seeking revenge against the murderers of her Naag. She has a doubt that Thakur is behind this, and the show is about her journey of punishing the criminals. She is in the quest of her Naag who has taken a rebirth.”

Supernatural is a popular genre in today’s television and it has become a fad. Nikita shared her views on this, “I always wanted to do something like this. Supernatural is different from the normal saas-bahu drama because if you go to see no-one does such planning and plotting in real life, so if I have to do a drama show then why not supernatural? And it’s working really well too, TRPs are maximum for such shows.”

Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin series was a TRP ruler and being a show of the same genre comparisons are bound to happen. On which Nikita expresses, “Comparisons are absolutely going to happen and I am ready for it. Both the shows are different, Naagin on Colors had Ekta Kapoor ma’am behind it and Nikhil Sinha sir of Triangle Films is the man behind our show. He is the one who made Devon Ke Dev Mahadev for Life Ok. And the shows are different apart from the stylist Anuradha who styled Mouni and Surbhi.”

Ek Ichadhari Naagin Ka Inteqam will also feature Manish Khanna, Prithvi Zutshi, Dinesh Kaushik, Kashvi Kothari and Shravani Goswami in important roles.
