Niharika Roy does a mock shoot with Sohaib Ibrahim for Jhanak

Star Plus’ Jhanak has struggled with low TRP ratings for a while. Due to its poor performance, the show has reportedly received a notice from the channel. To revive the storyline and attract viewers, the makers have decided to introduce a generation leap, which will result in the exit of the current cast, including Hiba Nawab and Krushal Ahuja.

Previously, we reported that Pranali Rathod was approached for the female lead post-leap, while Shoaib Ibrahim was considered for the male lead. A reliable source confirmed that Shoaib has already done a look test, and if everything goes as planned, he will be finalized for the role.

The latest buzz is that Niharika Roy is also being considered for the show. Niharika has won hearts quickly, especially with her role in Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam: Radha Mohan. She began her career as a child artist in 2013 with Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap and has also appeared in shows like Savdhaan India and Tera Yaar Hoon Main. Niharika Roy might be seen as the new female lead post-leap if finalised.

Currently, Jhanak features Hiba Nawab as Jhanak, Krushal Ahuja as Aniruddha, and Chandni Sharma as Arshi. With Kunal Verma’s entry as Vihaan, new conflicts and twists have kept fans engaged.
