Neil Bhatt confirms Megha Barsenge going off-air 'The show will always be close to my heart'

Colors TV's show Megha Barsenge, which features Neil Bhatt, Neha Rana, and Kinshuk Mahajan in lead roles, is all set to go off air. India Forums exclusively reported that the last telecast date of the show will be June 29. Despite its intriguing storyline and talented cast, the show failed to generate the expected viewership numbers, which eventually led to the decision to wrap it up.

Megha Barsenge began with much promise. The show revolved around themes of love, destiny, and reincarnation. Initially set in a small-town backdrop, the story explored the lives of Megha and Arjun, whose love was challenged by unfortunate circumstances. In a major twist, the show recently took a 20-year leap that introduced the reincarnated versions of Megha and Arjun, again played by Neha Rana and Neil Bhatt respectively. However, the leap failed to strike a chord with the audience, and the new storyline could not revive the show’s ratings.

Neil Bhatt, known for his powerful performances in shows like Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, became part of Megha Barsenge post his stint in Bigg Boss 17. He played the character of Arjun with great depth, showing his range as an actor. Speaking about the show going off air, Neil said, “Megha Barsenge will be one of the shows that will be closest to my heart. I have thoroughly enjoyed working on the show and portraying different kinds of characters which allowed me to show the diversity and my skills. I will be taking back a lot of good memories with me.”

Neil also added that while the show is ending, he is not planning to take a break from work. “I have been fortunate to get this show after Bigg Boss, and now that Megha Barsenge will go off air soon, I am not looking at taking a break and am open to television shows and OTT series or films,” he shared.

As the curtains close on Megha Barsenge, fans will remember the emotional highs and layered performances, particularly Neil Bhatt’s portrayal of Arjun. Viewers now await to see what project Neil takes up next in the world of TV or OTT.
