Neha Janpandit to play lead in Sony's Metti Oli remake..

Neha Janpandit, we understand was replaced from Chhajje Chhajje Ka Pyar as she haas been roped in to play the lead in Sony's Metti Oli remake...

Neha JanpanditJust a week back, things seemed to look grim for Neha Janpandit as it was reported that she was being replaced by Anjali Abrol in Sony TV's Chhajje Chhajje Ka Pyar.

But the truth is that Neha has bagged the plump role of the lead in Sony's upcoming show, and this actually prompted the change.

A little birdie tells us, "Neha Janpandit will now be playing the lead role in the Metti Oli remake that is being planned. Coincidentally, Anjali Abrol was one of the short listed actors for the lead role, but the channel decided to shift Anjali to Chhajje Chhajje Ka Pyar to play Dimpy as she did not suit the character in the new show. In fact, there were talks of a new girl from Chandigarh being roped in to play the lead in the Metti Oli remake, but it is Neha who has got the role now. She will play the second of the five sisters and will be the lead in the show".

Also, TellyBuzz was bang on about the news of Eijaz Khan making a comeback to fiction through this show. He will be playing the love interest of Neha.

We tried our best to get in touch with Neha Janpandit to confirm this news, but she remained unavailable.

All we can say is that Neha has won a bumper, and there is no doubt about that!
